Fourth in the Elite Ops undercover erotic-romance suspense series. Elite Ops are men and women whose lives were torn apart. Given a new identity and training, they now work covertly for the government.

This series intertwines with Tempting SEALs, and I have a chronology for how the two intertwine on a chronological listing of both Tempting SEALs and Elite Ops on my website.

My Take

I do enjoy this series. Leigh has such a way of writing compassionate, strong, talented alphas while giving us action and suspense. The loyalty of the team to each other. The tension she invokes between the powers-that-be and the men in the field.

Leigh’s sense of reality is so true…she has my hopes up for the reality of the sex as well!!

The Story

Night Hawk is shot in the head and loses all memory of the past six years, only remembering her life as Lady Victoria Harrington. However, glimpses of memory come through: the killing, the thrill of adrenalin, a sense of danger…Travis Caine.

Her life ended the night she found her father dead in his library. Her life began when she woke in the hospital after being rescued from the crash that sent the car she and her father were in over the cliff into the sea. Obviously someone didn’t want them investigating the embezzlement of Harrington funds.

Six years later, that life seems to have caught up with Night Hawk. The embers of passion between Caine and Lilly Belle also seem to have blazed up as Caine struggles to protect Lilly from her assassin and her commanders.

The Characters

Lillian Belle” is the name Lady Victoria Harrington took when she became a covert intelligence operator known as”Night Hawk“.

Travis Caine is a renegade agent from the Secret Service.

The Cover and Title

The cover doesn’t reflect the story with its long view of a night-lit city in the background. Well, except for the partial view we get of a packed male torso.

The title reflects Travis Caine’s handle, Black Jack.
