My Take

Oh lord, Laurenston is so funny! A completely different take on romantic seduction and achieving harmony between shifter groups! And she continues to display her talent for hysterically funny exaggeration of species tendencies.

Nik’s seduction of Ang’ is so contrary to everything Angie has ever experienced [and from so unusual an approach for the reader] that you can’t help but read with great fascination. The antics of his brothers. The unique approach of his father. Their happy acceptance of Angie’s behavior.

I certainly hadn’t expected the shopping aspect of things. Nor with Angie’s adoration of fine shoes. Although I guess it isn’t so surprising when Nik acquires a love for Angie’s shoes!

Read this for the fun of it!

The Story

Nik’s enjoyin’ his life as a lone tiger. The worst life has to offer is his two goofy brothers, a father who, contrary to all custom, has only ever been with one tigress. The best is a loving family, plenty of lakes for the deer and elk to gather round for an easy takeout meal, a big pool for him to flop into. Yup, life couldn’t be better.

Then his two stupider-than-heck brothers rescue Angelina Santiago from a pack of hyenas by kidnapping her and bringing her home. Across state lines. To his house. Where her touchy personality, her stubborn acceptance of the situation, and willingness to use a bat on anyone who gets near her has him falling in deep desire.

The Cover and Title

Definitely distinctive from her Pride series about the NYC-East Coast shifters. The title, Here Kitty, Kitty is just so typical of Laurenston’s humor!
