Urban Fairytales Book Deal!

$1.99 until 31 Oct 2017

I know I’m not the only one who loves a sale, and I just learned that Seanan McGuire’s Indexing is $1.99 until 31 October 2017 (read my review).

It’s a fascinating read that incorporates the Aarne–Thompson–Uther Classification of Folk Tales (ATU #), a system that classifies, organizes and analyzes the thousands of folklore narratives that have been evolving for hundreds of years.

McGuire’s book is an excellent example of a direct (snarky) usage of the ATU while any of the books which incorporate the fairytale narrative OR make use of names from it are also good examples. (Check out
KD’s Own List of Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Fantasy, & Horror Series for some examples.)

Just so’s ya know, the second book in the series, Reflections, is also $1.99 for the Kindle (OR buy both Indexing and Reflections for $3.58), but I don’t know for how long. (Read my review for Reflections.)

Disclaimer: If you purchase either of these books through KD Did It, I will receive a small commission.
