Book Review: Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Born of Shadows

Fourth in the League science-fiction romance series about an entire universe of plotting planets and governments with its corrupt League against the plucky group of pirates, smugglers, bounty hunters…well, you get the picture. My Take This series is full of such a messed-up group of people! It seems as though most of them led the most hideous childhoods, and sometime after they became adults and had even more hideous and dangerous adventures, they find out they’re royalty. That or they fall in love with someone who turns out to be royalty…after, of course, they’ve had some hair raising adventures. Each story has a core group of characters who fly out in support of the focus character, in this case, they fall out for Caillen Dagan. For all that, I do so enjoy reading most of The League novels. It’s Saturday-afternoon-at-the-movies with all the action, weapons, cool gadgets, and hunky underdogs fighting for good. Besides, it’s so much fun to see what Kenyon has managed to imagine this time!
