Second in The House of Rohan erotic historical romance series and focusing on Adrian Alistair Rohan and Charlotte Spenser in 1804 England.

My Take

A very enjoyable romance with a hint of erotica. Stuart’s Mad Monks reminds me of another historical romance series with its own group of nobles with their “secret society of sex”, unfortunately, I cannot remember which series this is. I think the author is Sabrina Jeffries but I cannot confirm it yet.

Reckless is particularly sweet as its heroine is a six-foot old maid who wears glasses and her fantasy goal is the hunk of society. Charlotte believes her secret passion is just that, a secret, but Adrian has been aware of her interest for quite awhile and is just bored enough to pursue her.

When her newly-widowed friend brings Charlotte to the weekend party of Mad Monks, all bets are off.
