Judith Rosen at Publishers Weekly warns that “Diesel eBooks to Close“, although “Diesel holds out the possibility that its closing isn’t necessarily for good. ‘We’re exploring our options… Understand Understand,’ it posted on its front page, ‘this doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t see Diesel in another form in the near future.’ One of those options is anti-trust litigation filed in the Southern District of New York against the same companies as the Department of Justice lawsuit: Apple, Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin, and Simon & Schuster.
In the meantime, Diesel customers are reminded to download all their eBooks by March 31; it won’t be possible after that date. Tweet this warning to a friend!
