“That” and “which” are both word confusion and grammar issue. But only one is specific (essential) while the other is general (nonessential), respectively.

This story is set mostly in Milwaukee. * I’m guessing that Escape Diaries is the name of the series and that Love and Life on the Lam is the title. The publisher has provided this story ARC. My Take LMAO, boob fighting?? This story was just too funny. A few weird bits, but on the whole, yeah, I’d buy this. It’s just too funny, and I’m already wanting to re-read bits of it. How dumb is Mazie that she never insisted on having the tape analyzed? She knew it wasn’t her, so why not look for clues that would prove that? Nah, I’m not buying Rosetti’s excuse as to why Dumbo, I mean, Mazie, is taking off on Labeck. It’s an excuse for drama. Although, it does open things wide for even greater and more terrifying adventures! Okay, enough bitching, […]

My Take Well, I guess that line above pretty says what I think… Day may want to publicize this as being a BDSM book, and it is about control. And whining. Lots and lots and lots and lots of whining. Oh. My. God. The whining that Eva tortures us with. Obviously, Gideon has a sexual problem. Her name is Eva. I would never put up with someone like her. Give. Me. A. Break. It’s gotta be love. Nothing else would get me to put up with her insecurities. While both main characters are messed up psychologically, it’s Eva who takes the spotlight with her insecurities. She keeps breaking up with Gideon, then she goads him with a past lover. Of […]

My Take Vella has a nice lyrical turn of phrase that makes this a sweet read. And she’s obviously done some homework on dress, manners, and society for her novel. Her characterization was well-done with a nice range from the totally sweet and thoughtful Sophie to the completely wicked Jack. Patrick’s character was different from the usual which made a nice change and Vella’s depiction of many of the catty women in the ton…well, too true to life that was. I did enjoy the insight we had on Patrick’s developing emotions with just the right amount of frustration and enough curiosity to continue to pursue Sophie. He seemed a little too quick to capitulate, but that’s the worst I can say of him. I suspect this is the start of a series with Sumner being next. And I’ll look forward to reading […]
