My Take
The third person point-of-view is from Father Michaels’ perspective and is a fascinating take on the pre-Cana counseling, as Father Michaels discusses the reasons a werewolf who worships the Lady wants to marry Cynna and insists on marrying her in the Catholic Church.
It’s also a dig at societal expectations of what constitutes a successful pair who want to wed.
I think anyone getting married with Cullen’s reasons would last in their partnership.
The Story
It’s a requirement of the Catholic Church that those who want to marry within the Church attend pre-Cana counseling. And Father Michaels has his doubts about why a lupus wants to marry, let alone marry within the Church.
The Characters
Cullen Seabourne is lupus and a sorcerer who’s getting married. His mother was Wiccan.
Father Abraham Michaels is counseling Cullen and Cynna. Dora is his assistant.
Caitlyn Murphy and Mike Donahue are Father Michaels’ next appointment.
A lupus is what we know as a werewolf.
The Cover and Title
The cover is pale yellows with a golden wolf with white markings facing us, his muzzle turned to the right. The author’s name is in black at the top while the title is in a medium green-blue against a white background that angles up to the right. I love the bit of information informing us that it’s a deleted scene from the series.
The title is the result of the meeting and must have been “Good Counsel”.
