Word Confusion: Eagle-centric versus Egocentric

Posted July 25, 2024 by kddidit in Author Resources, Self-Editing, Word Confusions, Writing

My eye was caught by “how can you defend his eagle-centric behavior?”

The kindest thought I had was that the author was writing about someone obsessed with eagles. Only, that wasn’t the context of the paragraph.

In this word confusion, there is no such word as eagle-centric.

Now, there are, unfortunately, way too many egocentrics in the world. People who think only about themselves and what is good for them.
