My Take

It’s the Eve Langlais I’ve come to know and love with lots of snark and laughter. A woman who’s gone without for 500 years is teamed up, unwillingly, with a man who has never gone without…and the fireworks spark.

I don’t know what it is about a trope in which two “misfits” team up and battle their way into love that I enjoy so much…must be all the snark I carry about with me! ‘Cause I sure do appreciate it from others, lol.

I don’t get why Ysabel is so frantic to keep anyone from knowing what she suffers?? Although, I do understand the attraction of a man who lifts the seat and puts it back down again…

And then there are the living conditions in Hell…a thoroughly hysterical mix of modern day and the worst you can imagine of Hell. I absolutely cracked up over Ysabel’s threats to Lucifer…Gaia is not a happy lover, ROFLMAO.

Yep, even demons can be kind, sort of…

The Story

There are better ways to break up with a girl than having her roasted at the stake as a witch. Is it any wonder Ysabel has trust issues? She got her revenge, though, and it only cost her a slightly tarnished soul and having to work for Lucifer.

It isn’t all bad, until her ex-boyfriend escapes the bowels of Hell, and she’s forced to team up with a womanizing demon to fetch the jerk back.

As a minion in Lucifer’s legion, Remy’s seen a lot of things, but nothing can prepare him for the witch with the acerbic tongue — and voluptuous figure. The more she pushes him away, the more determined he becomes to seduce her. However, what’s a poor demon to do when he accidentally falls in love and wants to keep her forever?

The Characters

Ysabel, a.k.a., Blood Witch, of the viperish tongue has a shoe fetish and has harnessed herself to the Devil as his Personal Assistant for revenge. Felipe is her hellcat kitty. Muriel, another of Lucifer’s daughters, is one of Ysabel’s friends who has settled down with her threesome.

Remy Crafir, a first class half-demon (and ladies’ man), needs an assignment that will get him out of Hell…his girlfriends found out about each other. His mother, Jallayna, is part fire demon.

Lucifer is the Devil, the Lord of the Underworld, and a candidate for sexual harassment. Bambi is his oldest slut of a daughter. Christopher is his constantly disappearing son. Gaia, Mother Earth, is Lucifer’s on-again, off-again girlfriend. Nefertiti is an impartial and powerful witch whose power is based in sex-based magic. Geoffrey is her butler. Xaphan is a serious demon. Crax, a corpulent demon covered in black pustules, is the warden of Hell’s Prison.

In a Spanish village hundreds of years ago…
…there were five whom Ysabel cursed: Pedro was a pervert, Luysa is Ysabel’s lover’s mother, and heads up the mob, Francisco is Ysabel’s lover, Emmanuelle, and Alvaro, the village drunk, who seems to prefer the dregs of Hell.

God is Lucifer’s brother. The abyss is where tortured souls go after they conquer their fear of death.

The Cover and Title

The cover is the reds and oranges of flame with a well-stacked man, bare chested, with flames licking up his arms and stomach. Yep, he’s truly A Demon and His Witch is the one from whom he will not be parted.
