A free short story, 4.1 in the Psy-Changeling Trinity paranormal romance subseries (and 19.1 in the Psy-Changeling Universe) revolving around an expanded world. The focus is on the bear shifters in Russia.

My Take

Singh uses third person protagonist point-of-view from Valentin’s perspective…you’ll hear the laughter in his voice as you read this thoughtful story which will have you laughing as these four tiny gangsters are caught in the act.

I absolutely love it when Valentin refers to the kids as “tiny gangsters”. The label makes the kids seem adventurous, independent, and, yes, sometimes naughty, lol.

Sure, there’s a bit of action, but it’s primarily about character and such an excellent example of good parenting: Lay down the rules and expect them to take the consequences. However kind those consequences may be, *more laughter*.

Singh keeps things moving — it’s hard not to as the story is only seven pages long. But it’ll definitely leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

The Story

The intention was good…with plenty of hopeful consideration. It is simply not a good idea, though, for four tiny bears to try to bake something in the kitchen.

The Characters

The StoneWater Clan consists…
…of bears in Russia. Valentin, a.k.a. Uncle Mishka, is the alpha bear. Stasya got a fright in the night. Dima’s parents are Chaos, the Clan cook, and Nova, Valentin’s sister.

The oldest is seven-year-old Sveta, Fitz, and Arkasha are the tiny gangsters. Dima the Barnacle who wants to be part of their gang.

The Title

The title is what happens when you let four tiny gangsters loose in the kitchen — “Beary Tiny Ghosts”.
