A short story, 12.5 in the Guild Hunter paranormal romance series, revolving around a world ruled by archangels. The focus is on Eve, Elena’s younger sister.

My Take
It’s a New Year’s Eve party with Eve and a group of friends from her guild training class, drinking beer and teasing each other.
A good bit of it is them asking Eve about having Raphael as a brother-in-law with plenty of speculation about the archangel and their world. The range of discussion goes from Raphael’s interactions with children to a reality TV show about the sex life of angels.
The rest is the typical teasing of teenagers. We also learn what Eve thinks about the rift between the family and Elena. That girl is a deep thinker with compassion.
Cute, and yeah, Raphael is NOT your normal brother-in-law, lol.
The Story
A chance to kick back and drink some beer as a group of students celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The Characters
Eve Devereaux “Strawberry Milkshake” is hunter-born and Elena’s half-sister. Amy is their younger sister. Their half-sister, Elena, is mated to Raphael, the Archangel of New York.
Arturo is one of Eve’s best friends. Other friends in the Guild training academy include Reeva “Tomato” — she had a date with the nerdy Reuben; the British Barton, who’s a quarterback; and, Hema.
The Cadre of Ten are the archangels who rule the world — Raphael is one of them.
The Title
The title is a play on the holiday and on Elena’s sister on this “New Year’s Eve”.
